Ms. Rakshatha J is a Trauma-informed, Gender- and Queer-affirmative Psychotherapist in the Department of Psycho-Oncology at Sri Shankara Cancer Hospital & Research Centre. She holds an M.Sc in Clinical Psychology from RGUHS, along with certifications in CBT (Beck’s Institute), REBT (Ellis Institute), Trauma-informed Therapy (Trauma Institute), Queer & Gender-affirmative practice (MHI), and Yoga for Mental Health (NIMHANS).

Her expertise spans integrative TF-CBT, person-centred therapy with a cultural and social justice orientation, intersectional feminist frameworks, family systems therapy, narrative therapy, and dignity therapy. She has worked in clinical and research roles at Manasa Hospital, Bangalore Baptist Hospital, and oncology settings, focusing on patient and caregiver well-being. She is an active researcher and has published work on LGBTQIA+ mental health, resilience in cancer caregivers, and psychosocial care in oncology.
